I’m sure most of you have seen Philip Bloom‘s blog about Skywalker Ranch and shooting for Lucasfilm’s new movie Red Tails. In Phil’s blog he has a behind the scenes video. I make a few appearances in the video, most particularly at 1:18 seconds in to the video when I am moving at 7d Hot ROD PL mount camera.

I call that my crab walk. I can’t post much about my time with Philip because it has to be approved before hand by Lucasfilm.

I was able to do a little operating for some B-roll shots of extras using the 7d Hot Rod PL mount with a 50mm Zeiss Master Primes (a $28,000 lens :-O). Also had the pleasure of meeting Illya Friedman, the owner and engineer behind hot rod cameras. Really nice guy and pleasure to hang with for the day. So there’s a chance one of MY shots might make it into the film. *FINGERS CROSSED!!!
